| Description
Ferrous sulphate is a by-product from the production of titanium dioxide, and from the production of steel. Ferrous sulphate is an essential mineral, for use as a feed-ingredient. It is dried or treated to provide it with anti-caking and free-flowing properties ensuring stability. Its common form is dried powder of a grayish colour.

| Applications
- Nutrition – together with other iron compounds, ferrous sulphate is used to fortify foods and to treat iron-deficiency anemia.
- Industrial uses – ferrous sulphate is mainly used as a precursor to other iron compounds. It is a reducing agent, mostly used for the reduction of chromate in cement.
