Zinc Sulphate (Zinc Sulfate) Monohydrate

Description

Zinc sulphate (ZnSO4) is a colorless, clear crystalline chemical compound that is highly soluble in water. It is prepared by leaching roasted zinc concentrate, zinc ores or waste zinc products with sulphuric acid.
Crystalline sulphate heptahydrate is commonly known as white vitriol.
Zinc sulphate is most often sold in its monohydrate form, which has a lower tendency to cake.

Applications

Zinc sulphate is widely used to satisfy diverse needs:
  • In agriculture, it is used to kill weeds and protect against pests.
